Your First Visit to Amesbarry Chiropractic

Once you’ve scheduled your first appointment you are on your journey toward better health at Amesbarry Chiropractic!

When you arrive, we’ll have you complete the new patient paperwork. If you’re using insurance, we’ll also take a copy of your insurance card and photo ID. If you have a copay we will collect it at the end of your visit. If you don’t have insurance, or if your plan doesn’t cover chiropractic well, we have great reduced same day pay plans and will collect for services the same day. Let us know if you have questions.

New Patient Consultation and Exam

With those details out of the way, you’ll sit down with Dr. Bob or Dr. Kris for your new patient consultation. During this time, you’ll have the opportunity to tell the doctor all about what you’re experiencing, and the doctor can begin to get to know you better. You’ll also have your exam, so the doctor can determine exactly what care will be best for you.

If necessary, we’ll take some digital X-rays to get a better look. We take the X-ray right onsite, there’s no need for a separate appointment. In most cases, you can have your X-rays taken in your own clothes; however, we do have gowns and shorts available, if needed.

You’ll prepare for your adjustment by engaging in some light therapy to loosen your muscles. After your adjustment, the doctor will review your X-rays with you, so you can see exactly what we’re seeing!

Your first appointment will usually last about an hour but can be a little over that time, depending on your particular symptoms and the recommended care plan.

Your Future Visits

After your first visit, your future visits will be 20-30 minutes.

When you arrive, you’ll typically have some form of therapy to loosen your muscles and get ready for your adjustment. In most cases, you can wear your everyday clothes for your appointments. If your treatment requires it, we have shorts and gowns to change into. Usually, this is not needed.

If you are receiving an acupuncture treatment, your appointment can take up to 40 minutes.

Copays or payments for services will be collected on the day of your visit. Your appointments should be relaxing and leave you feeling better than when you arrived! To learn more about how we care for our patients, read through our site or give us a call or text at (952) 894-9888.
